What is the free channel check?
The free channel check is a 30-minute video call in which Menno Kater shows you what he would change on your YouTube or Instagram channel, and why. Before the call he spends half an hour on the channel himself: your recent videos, your titles and thumbnails, and the public numbers behind them. There is no automatic report. You see everything on a shared screen and can ask about it on the spot.
It is free and limited to three a week, so each channel gets real attention.

How the channel check works
Requesting the check takes a few minutes and needs no login: paste a link, answer three short questions and pick a time.
- Paste your link. Your YouTube channel, your Instagram handle, or both. Only public numbers are read.
- See your first numbers. The next screen shows a first read of your recent videos or reels.
- Answer three questions. What you sell and to whom, roughly what it costs, and where your business is now.
- Pick a time. The calendar shows times in your own time zone, with your name and email already filled in.
- Menno prepares, then you talk. He spends half an hour on your channel before the call and shows you what he would change.
Who the check is for
The check is built for founders and experts who sell something that starts with a conversation, such as consulting, coaching, a programme or a service, and who want YouTube to bring in clients rather than only views.
A small channel is fine, and so is no channel at all: start without one and the call is about your plan instead. Calls are planned in your time zone, whether you are in Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Tokyo or New York.
It is probably not for you if you are looking for a quick trick to get more views, or a written report without a conversation.
