The personal branding agency for founders.

Menno Kater is a done-with-you personal branding agency that grows founders organically on YouTube and Instagram. You talk for about an hour a month, we run the system. And we steer on revenue, not reach.

The difference

Where most agencies stop, the real work begins

The standard recipe of a personal branding agency: a photoshoot, a brand kit, a row of LinkedIn posts. It looks tidy and it rarely brings clients. Because a carousel does not build trust; watching someone talk about their field for ten minutes does.

So we build on video. Reels that get the right people to know you, long-form on YouTube that proves you know what you are talking about. Not because video is trendy, but because trust is made there, and trust is the whole game.

And we measure differently. Reach is nice for the report; we steer on what it produces: inquiries, calls, revenue. If a video gets a thousand views and the right three viewers send a message, it was a good video.

The approach

You talk for an hour. The team builds the rest.

Your knowledge is the raw material, the execution is on us. Filming is flexible: most founders deliver their own footage or have a videographer, and our own trained team can also come by to film you and coach you on camera. After that the team picks up everything:

How to choose

What to check when choosing a personal branding agency

Whichever party you are considering, ask these five questions. The answers tell you everything.

  • Does the agency steer on revenue or on reach? Ask for client results in money or inquiries, not in views. Anyone who only shows reach is selling visibility without an outcome.
  • Who actually makes the content? A settled team that knows your work, or a pool of freelancers that rotates per job? Ask who your editor is and how long they have been there.
  • What happens after the shoot? A folder of files is not personal branding. Distribution, channel-specific cuts and optimization on data are the difference between having content and building a brand.
  • Do they dare to quote prices? Anyone who only drops a number after three calls has something to hide. Our retainers start in the low four figures per month, and you read that right here on the site.
  • Ask about the minimum term. Four-month lock-ins and six-month minimums are normal in this market. We work monthly cancellable: if the work is not good enough to keep, you should be able to leave.

Who it is for

Who this works for, and who it does not

Yes: founders and experts with a proven offer and happy clients, where not enough of the right people know about them. Willing to build for a year and talk for an hour a month.

No: anyone without a working offer yet (a brand amplifies what exists, it fixes nothing), anyone expecting a miracle within 90 days, or anyone after a viral moment. There are other agencies for that, and we mean that.

Frequently asked questions

Personal branding agency, explained

What is a personal branding agency for founders?
A personal branding agency for founders makes a founder's expertise visible to the market. At Menno Kater that means a done-with-you system: strategy, shooting, editing, distribution and optimization on Instagram and YouTube, so the right clients find you instead of the other way around. You stay the face and the voice; a team runs the execution.
What does a personal branding agency cost?
The market is vague about it, we are not: retainers start in the low four figures per month. Monthly cancellable, no lock-in, a discount if you commit for longer. We are not the cheapest, on purpose: you get a settled team, not resold freelancers.
How is this different from a social media agency?
A social media agency manages channels and schedules posts. We build the founder's own brand: your face, your story, on video. You see the difference in what gets measured. A management agency reports reach and followers; we steer on inquiries and revenue.
Do I still need to film or make content myself?
You talk for about an hour a month about your field, that is the core. Filming is flexible: most founders deliver their own footage or have a videographer, and we can also send our own trained team to film and coach you on camera. Writing, editing, posting and optimizing you never do yourself.
How fast will I see results?
The first batch is ready within two weeks of the shoot, that we guarantee. Real movement shows in the first months, and the compounding effect of inbound and authority is a year-long game. An agency that promises faster revenue is selling you something.
How do I choose the right personal branding agency?
Ask four questions: does the agency steer on revenue or on reach, who actually makes the content, what happens after the shoot, and do they dare to quote prices. An agency with a sharp answer to all four is worth considering. One that opens with views and reach will cost you money.
